Chad

Members of GlobalMedic’s Rapid Response Team will be working with Mines Advisory Group (MAG) for a 1 year term in the African nation of Chad. GlobalMedic will be providing a paramedic to perform a dual role in the field with the MAG team.

Firstly, the GlobalMedic member will be a stationed in the field for a 3 to 6 month period in Chad where they will be the first-response medic for members of MAG. They will be based in a field hospital stationed in a defunct airplane hanger. The deployment will likely begin in October and we will be rotating in 3 or 4 medics over the course of the year. MAG Chad’s team will be performing de-mining activities in the surrounding area.

Secondly, the paramedic will also facilitate training sessions on Emergency Trauma Management for national MAG staff while stationed there.

This deployment requires practicing paramedics. French is not required but is considered an asset.
