On January 8th, GlobalMedic deployed Water Engineer and RRT volunteer Richard Forward to the Democratic Republic of Congo in partnership with UMCOR. Richard will be training 40 community health workers and doctors in the North Katanga Province. He will conduct a full WATSAN (Water and Sanitation) training. This course includes a comprehensive section on the installation and maintenance methods required to run a bio-sand program which GlobalMedic is working in partnership with UMCOR to achieve in the DRC.
